Fernbus simulator optimization11/13/2022 ![]() ![]() It's a shame he couldn't see further than his manhood because OMSI is by far the best simulator bar none for driving, even UE4 can't seem to manage passengers walking onto buses or buses actually having the correct physics. OMSI 2s source code was approached at by Aerosoft to help develop it further but with a different team but that didn't help either. Which is why we now have Tramsim from ViewApp who made Vienna for OMSI 2 they were tram devs for LOTUS but they made a big post on their page stating how Janine and Marcel basically wern't good business people. She also spoilt the relationship with the LOTUS devs, the only one left is the one who made the O305 bus Neundorf or something. Or can go, it's a bit like me having a partnership, someone outside of that coming in and pushing their weight around. There is definitely a lot of potential when it comes to UBS and when it's done I believe we will have something comparable to ETS2 or TSW, which are some of the better simulators out there right now.Ĭlick to expand.Janine spoilt a lot of things with this, because well to put it mildly when a love interest interferes with a business interest we know how that goes. Not only is the graphics engine good (but they can be scaled down for those on lower end machines), its meant to be a lot easier for developers too, meaning we may see more potential when it comes to third party add-ons. Rather, I'm looking into the new bus simulator called UBS (Untitled Bus Simulator) which is being worked on by our very own Whistlehead. I wish them the best, but its not something I will be investing in. ![]() ![]() I don't want to sound harsh against Marcel and Janine as I think they've made the new engine from scratch which is no easy task, but they definitely could improve it a little bit. While the new models (vehicles, scenery etc) do look good (this has never been an issue for them imo, the OMSI default vehicles are excellent), there are now even more transportation modes (trams, trains, etc) and there are some promising and interesting features such as multiplayer and being able to wave to other drivers (a niche little feature I really like the sound of), the pricing is a little outlandish for what it is (plus, you have to buy each individual module separately) and plus it does not look like they've improved the graphics engine very much which was something that should have been key in OMSIs replacement. This worked on by Marcel and Janine who both used to work on OMSI 2. "OMSI 3" does exist in the form of LOTUS Simulator which has mentioned. ![]()
